Tea Caddy - Japanese Cherry Bark

The inner lid is made using the “katamono” crafting technique, in which the inner cylinder of the caddy is cut so as to create parallel sections, one of which will be used as the inner lid.

Because they were cut from the same piece, the diameters of the inner cylinder and the inner lid are the same, and they fit together perfectly.

The outer cylinder is made of plain bark made by polishing the surface of wild cherry tree bark, allowing you to enjoy the unique expression of the knots of cherry bark that appear when polished. 

In addition, the lustre increases with each passing day, and the more you use it, the more subdued the colour becomes.
