Three choices
This pattern is called mirror, or Yo-u, is the etched model in its essence. It has however gone through multiple extra steps of polishing to the point of a mirror effect.
There are also two other patterns.
Etched, or Gin nezu, which is achieved by further working the cups with sand blasting and polishing to create a 3D texture around the cup that follows the waves of the damascus.
Glossy, or Tsuya. It brings out the beauty of the wavelike pattern of damascus steel, with a smooth surface.
Less than 50 are made per year. Please know that every piece is different. The wavelike pattern is unique to each product, and therefore yours will look slightly different to the pictures.

They all come in a small black gift box for safe keeping. The cups are wrapped inside a red cloth to protect them from the elements. We advise you keep the cloth and keep your cups safe at home. Wash lightly by hand, dry well with a towel, and wrap them in their cloth before storing.
Do not wash in dishwasher.

Beautiful teapot from Kogu. I saw this one while I was in Japan and fell in love with the design. The material is beautiful and the size is perfect. Also the packaging was lovely and shipping was very fast.
To be honest, I bought the case solely because it protects the nippers and fits them perfectly; I didn't bother looking for a different $5 option that would offer the same fit. Unlike the nippers—which are simply flawless—the case is vastly overpriced; the cost of three cases equals the price of one pair of nippers. Yet, the nippers represent sheer perfection and embody a huge amount of time and effort, whereas the case is just a piece of leather stitched together.
I spent a long time deciding whether to buy size S or L, so I ended up buying both. Deep frying chicken or shrimps with oil needs a lot. It makes sense to re-use it again the oil for next time. Hence we find this a very utilitarian item of importance, which helps in re-using the oil. It also comes with a filter. The filter keeps the over-fried fritters out of the oil.
