Niigata is all about rice! The most popular with its unique design
Japanese towel, or tenugui, is a 100% cotton fabric, plain woven and dyed in a traditional way.
Professor Hitoshi Suzuki, supervised a series of student designs. The theme is Niigata. The best designs are still produced on traditional towels.
This towel is made in Fujioka Dyeing Factory in Niigata prefecture, not too far from Suwada's factory, a place with over 260 years of history.
Tenugui was developed centuries ago as a multipurpose cloth in Japan. It is still used in the kitchen as a dishcloth or hand towel, and it has also made its way into more cultural parts of life. It is used as a headband by artisans and martial artists and as a cooling cloth by runners who wet it and wrap it around their neck during the hot season. Lastly it is used as a scarf in Autumn.
It is absorbent, and it dries quickly. Since it was developed centuries ago, it is not recommended for heavy duty dish drying.

Tenugui is hand-dyed.
Due to the characteristics of dyeing, there may be variations in color and pattern bleeding, and color for each product. At the beginning of use, the color may fade or transfer just like with clothes. For the first time, we recommend hand washing with plenty of water. Avoid using bleach.

Beautiful teapot from Kogu. I saw this one while I was in Japan and fell in love with the design. The material is beautiful and the size is perfect. Also the packaging was lovely and shipping was very fast.
To be honest, I bought the case solely because it protects the nippers and fits them perfectly; I didn't bother looking for a different $5 option that would offer the same fit. Unlike the nippers—which are simply flawless—the case is vastly overpriced; the cost of three cases equals the price of one pair of nippers. Yet, the nippers represent sheer perfection and embody a huge amount of time and effort, whereas the case is just a piece of leather stitched together.
I spent a long time deciding whether to buy size S or L, so I ended up buying both. I had never used cutters like these before, but when I tried them out, I found the blades to be incredibly sharp and precisely aligned. The leverage mechanism works perfectly—there is absolutely no play, and everything fits together tightly. Having worked as a fitter for ten years, I appreciate tools that perform with precision and flawlessness; I even examined them under a magnifying glass and couldn't find a single defect—it is truly amazing that these cutters have been perfected to such a degree.

The product performs with precision and ease. It’s saves time and efforts, but midst important, done properly it helps to not hurt you skin.
Deep frying chicken or shrimps with oil needs a lot. It makes sense to re-use it again the oil for next time. Hence we find this a very utilitarian item of importance, which helps in re-using the oil. It also comes with a filter. The filter keeps the over-fried fritters out of the oil.
A very decent coffee pot, with good built and designed well suited for hand drip coffee.
