The mirror-polished expression of SUWADA's 75 ml Damascus cup
This version begins with the same formed Damascus-steel cup, then receives additional polishing until the surface reaches a mirror effect. The reflective finish intensifies the layered waves and changes appearance as the cup moves through the light.
What you notice when you pick it up
- Cool steel: a markedly different first contact from porcelain, wood or glass.
- High reflection: the surface picks up the colours and light of the table around it.
- Compact scale: approximately 75 ml, suited to sake and other small pours.
Why this finish costs more
The mirror version goes through additional polishing steps beyond the glossy and etched models. On Damascus steel, that finishing has to reveal the layered pattern without losing the clarity of the reflective surface.
Every pattern is unique
The waves belong to the layered material itself, so no two cups are visually identical. Slight differences from the photographs are expected.
