Japanese Tea Spoon - 5 patterns

A premium piece made of various types of layered cherry bark to create stunningly textured tea spoons.

In Japan there are plenty of tea tools to choose from. If you like to use tea leaves, or if you already have a tea caddy for them, then you can consider adding this to your tea collection.

This tea spoon is crafted using a technique called ``tatamimono'' (a technique in which multiple layers of polished cherry bark are pasted together and thickened and sculpted into various shapes). 

We use a variety of cherry bark, including marbled bark that retains the natural appearance of mountain cherry bark, and polished plain bark.

The idea behind this, compared to a standard Japanese tea spoon, is to bring nature a little closer to your tea ceremony. The textured surface makes you immediately appreciate the material, and feel more grounded. The preservation of the bark texture and the steeper angle of the tea spoon makes it more comfortable and more precise.

Keep inside a tea caddy or inside its own box for safekeeping.
