Petty 150 - Black Blade
Product Description
A petty knife that turns cooking more vibrant
A Japanese-style handle knife, made by Mutsumi Hinoura. Easy to use, easy to sharpen, fun to look at, or show off. The blade is made of shirogami 2 high carbon steel, with stainless steel cladding. The black finish only adds to the modern feel of an otherwise traditional tool.
Petty knives can be used for cutting and slicing, but also as fruit knives. This knife is particularly sharp, therefore a lot safer to use (blunt knives can slip of certain surfaces like fruit skin).
The blade is sharpened from both sides like most western knives. It can be used by both left and right-handed cooks. Do not use it on bones or frozen meat.
What it brings to you
Every knife gives you a different feeling when you cook. The weight, the blade, the style, the grip, the sharpness, all play a role in our mood while cooking. This blade is old-school. Made the traditional way, by heating it up and hammering it for hours.
It is sharp, medium-weight, and precise, allowing you to have fun at home like a chef.
